Haymarket Medical Education (HME) was proud to host a unique and interactive CME satellite symposium during the AACE Annual Meeting in New Orleans, LA, on May 9, 2024. Titled “Applying Knowledge to Practice in the Diagnosis and Treatment of Cushing’s Disease: Take the Escape Room Challenge!” the program attracted a full house of nearly 150 attendees, as endocrinologists and others gathered to learn about the latest strategies in diagnosing and managing Cushing’s disease while also participating in a fun, team-based virtual escape room activity!

The panel engaged in an interactive discussion centered on the identification and treatment of patients with Cushing’s disease, including specific topics such as clinical features and comorbidities of Cushing’s disease, how to make a definitive diagnosis, designing individualized treatment plans, and incorporating the latest clinical trial data into real-world practice.
The 90-minute symposium was divided into three distinct modules, each featuring a presentation from one of the faculty members and a corresponding 5-minute virtual escape room component. The program concluded with a 10-minute Q&A session during which the presenters responded to questions submitted by attendees via networked iPads.
